The First Belgrade Women's Entrepreneurship Fair held

First Belgrade Women’s entrepreneurship Fair was held on 15 March 2016 at the Kolarac Foundation, organized by the Secretariat for the Economy of the City of Belgrade and members of the City Council for Employment: Regional Agency for Development and European Integration Belgrade, National Employment Service, Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, Tourist organization of Belgrade..

The fair brought together 48 women-owned businesses to promote their products and services in order to motivate other potential entrepreneurs to start their own business.

Women’s entrepreneurship fair was opened by Belgrade Mayor Siniša Mali and pointed out that this event confirmed that "we are on the right track to ensure gender equality in business."

"One of the ways to support women's entrepreneurship is the investment which the City budget for this year aimed at 5 million dinars," said Mali. The mayor also noted that women entrepreneurs in 2016 could equally apply for the total city subsidies for entrepreneurship in the amount of 62 million dinars and emphasized that single parents have priority in obtaining these incentives.

Representatives of the Regional Agency for Development and European Integration Belgrade, Ljiljana Marković and Nikola Vujinović presented programs and training that the Agency will conduct a free in 2016, which may be equal to the application, as well as sources of funding for the promotion and business development.
